With many years of experience within the cyber industry, Charlotte is seeking for new opportunities to develop innovations. After having several strategic positions in Marketing, Sales and now management, she is contributing heavily to the development of cybersecurity solutions.
Discover why she still enjoys her job after all these years and hear her valuable advice to somebody who wants to join the cyber field.
What is your role within Airbus CyberSecurity?
I am a senior manager in charge of the Cyber Business Growth. And my role is to seek funding to finance the development of tomorrow’s cyber defence innovations.
What is your professional journey?
I started as a cyber security consultant engineer. I then broadened my scope to include IT and digital in the broadest sense of the term, holding various positions in marketing, strategy and sales. Then I moved on to management, both in France and internationally, and led mergers and acquisitions. And this is how I joined Airbus Cybersecurity a few years ago.
What do you like most about your job?
By contributing to the development of cybersecurity solutions, I am protecting my country and I am protecting my children. So that’s a real driver for me.
Secondly, it’s a field that moves very fast. It’s very stimulating and so it’s an environment that I like because it’s an environment of the future that’s in a constant state of change.
Finally, all the people who work in cybersecurity are passionate about it, so it’s a real pleasure to develop projects with cybersecurity professionals.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to work in cyber?
To be successful in cybersecurity, it’s good to have to diversity with points of view, to have different perspectives, to be much sharper and thus be able to detect threats and attacks.
My advice for entering the cybersecurity sector is to come as you are, whether you wear a hoodie or are different.
