German Federal Office for Information Security accredits cyber solution Secure Exchange Gateway

– Solution allows secure information exchange between IT networks with different classification levels
– Deployable for industrial enterprises, critical national infrastructures and military environments

Airbus Defence and Space, a key player in the cyber security market in Europe, has been accredited by the German Federal Office for Information Security for its Secure Exchange Gateway (SEG). This solution provides secure data exchange between IT networks with different classification levels and security policies.
The current complexity of IT infrastructures requires a dynamic, reliable and secure information exchange. This demands the capability to enable information transfer in a way that is compliant to the customer’s individual security policy. To sustainably address those challenges, Airbus Defence and Space has developed the SEG in cooperation with the German Federal Office for Information Security.
This SEG is easy to integrate in existing IT infrastructures and application services as well as minimal-invasive towards end user. It is deployable for critical national infrastructures, industrial enterprises and in military environments.
Christoph Ruffner, Head of CyberSecurity Germany at Airbus Defence and Space said:

“We are extremely proud to get this accreditation which once again shows the trust of national institutions in our solutions. Besides providing highly secure data exchange between networks with different security requirements, the SEG prevents unintentional loss of sensitive information. With the application of filters, the SEG checks and verifies the transmission of information from one security domain to another. During this process, it implements and enforces a pre-defined security policy applicable for data exchange across domain boundaries.”
