Airbus Defence and Space’s CyberSecurity unit places innovation at the very core of its participation in the International Forum on Cyber Security

At the International Forum on Cyber Security, to be held on 21-22 January 2014 at the Lille Grand Palais, the CyberSecurity unit of Airbus Defence and Space (formerly Cassidian CyberSecurity) is to present its innovative vision in all fields of the cyber security business: technological innovation with its “Cyber Defence Centre”, innovation in cyber risk management through its partnership with AXA Matrix Risk Consultants, and its strong commitment to support innovative SMEs (Small Medium Entreprises).
The Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) provides customers with a never-before-seen global cyber defence solution. This new monitoring and surveillance concept includes the CDC’s databases, which collect information on threats, and experts who develop and operate these databases for responding in real time to the most advanced cyber attacks.
For Airbus Defence and Space, cyber requires not only technological excellence but also innovative business approach. This is the reason why Airbus Defence and Space and its partner AXA MATRIX Risk Consultants are jointly working on a new approach to cyber risk. Indeed, faced with the operational and legal impacts of a cyber attack, companies can now control and mitigate this risk through the Cyber@Risk tool jointly developed by Airbus Defence and Space and AXA MATRIX Risk Consultants.
As a major player in cyber security, Airbus Defence and Space has the honour of being partner of the 2014 Innovative SME Prize. This prize, which will be awarded to the most innovative company in the field of computer security during the FIC, aims to encourage research and innovation in the cyber security sector and enhance the status of SMEs by providing them with the FIC’s visibility and international stature.

For Jean-Michel Orozco, Senior Vice President “CyberSecurity” : “Threats are constantly evolving in cyber security. This is why we place innovation at the very core of our strategy. We are constantly thinking about new approaches to prevent the cyber attacks of tomorrow. But innovation is not just technological and our role as a partner advising large companies and critical institutions also requires us, for example, to provide organisations that have experienced cyber attacks with legal remedies.”
